Japanese real estate company JP Building starts operations in Bangladesh

Japanese real estate and construction company JP Building has started its journey in Bangladesh under the name ‘JP Build BD Co’.

Mr Iwama Kiminori, Japanese High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and Mr Akio Yamamoto, chairman of JP Build BD Co Ltd, inaugurated the company and its first product NIPPON Elevator, in a grand ceremony on Sunday evening at a restaurant in Dhaka, says a press statement Monday.

Mr Susumu Saki, chairman of JBS Holdings Limited, Mr Md Amin Helaly, vice president of FBCCI, Mr Md Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, director of FBCCI and managing director of JCX and Kamal Chowdhury, CEO of JBS Holdings Limited were also present on the occasion.

JP Build Company Limited started real estate and construction business in Japan in 2018. JP Build is currently providing solar power plants, eco-energy power generation facilities, real estate business and consulting services, and construction work. As a result, in just five years, the company’s field of work has spread beyond the boundaries of Japan to South Korea, Cambodia and Bangladesh.

Mr Akio Yamamoto, chairman of JP Build BD Co, in his inaugural speech, said, “JP Build BD Co Ltd will play a special role in the development of Bangladesh’s economy and manpower development. We will support the construction of modern and earthquake-resistant buildings by using skilled workers and modern technology from Japan. We want to be a part of digital Bangladesh through new technology.”

One of the most essential parts of these advanced buildings is the elevator. JP Build BD has come up with a solution there. The company has brought Japan’s famous Nippon brand elevators to the Bangladesh market with advanced technology and facilities which will make people’s lives safer and more comfortable, according to the statement.

Mr Iwama Kiminori, Japanese High Commissioner to Bangladesh, said, “Japan has always been interested in being a development partner of Bangladesh. During the (last) visit of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Japan, my task was to make as many Japanese investors as possible interested in working in Bangladesh. There, I came to know, JP Build has come a long way in setting up office in Bangladesh. They are determined to provide modern technology and best service. Hopefully, they will create a good position in Bangladesh.”

Mr Susumu Saki, chairman of JBS Holdings Limited, said, “We are delighted to work in Bangladesh. It is a very good place for business.”

Mr Md. Amin Helaly, vice president of FBCCI, said, “Foreign investors and domestic companies should work in a way that benefits both parties. FBCCI is ready to provide all kinds of support.”
